The BonFeu BonBiza XL Open is a statement round fire pit built for plancha cooking, with an open plinth base that keeps your firewood dry and within reach. Rather than a full mobile kitchen unit, it's designed as a fixed, striking centrepiece — pick your spot in the garden and let it become the place everyone gathers around.
A 98cm plate over open fire
The plancha sits directly above the wood fire, 98cm across and 6mm thick, giving you a genuine heat gradient across the surface — hot enough at the centre to sear, cooler towards the rim for finishing dishes or keeping food warm. A BBQ grill grate comes as standard, so you can lift straight into open-flame grilling whenever you want it instead of, or alongside, plancha cooking.
The plinth does double duty
Unlike a simple fire bowl on legs, the BonBiza XL Open is built with an open-fronted plinth beneath the fire bowl — practical storage for logs, tucked right where you need them, that also gives the whole piece a more grounded, finished silhouette than a freestanding bowl.
Corten steel, left to age naturally
The body and cone are 2–3mm Corten steel, the same weathering steel used across the BonBiza range. Exposed to the elements, it forms its own protective rust-brown patina rather than corroding — no coating, sealing or repainting required, and the look only deepens with age.
A fixed centrepiece, not a moveable one
At 98 x 98 x 102cm and roughly 90kg, this is a solid, permanent piece rather than something you'll wheel in and out of a shed. If mobility matters more to you than a fixed installation — or you want an attached worktop for food prep — the BonBiza Island XL is the version to look at instead.
Built to expand
The BonBiza XL Open accepts the same accessory system as the rest of the range: add the Standard base ring to fit a pizza oven attachment, a skewer ring or a stand-mounted grill, and there's a protective lid available to cover the plancha between uses.
